OH. MY. GOD. The darkest dark romance I’ve ever read so far. And I cannot believe how much I enjoyed it. It’s a forbidden love between siblings for the love of God! Not blood related, of course, I have limits, but still. Malachi Vize is a psychopath, sweet, a freak, obsessed, in love, and so fucked up. I kinda love him. Although, some of the things he does are really, really disturbing and not at all okay.

Alright, let’s summarize: Olivia and Malachi are siblings. Both adopted by the Vize family. Since the first moment they met, Malachi, one year older than Olivia, feels like his sister is his. Not in a romantic way or in a sexual way… not back then, anyway. It’s more like he has a duty, he must protect her at every cost. Even by their own family.

He cannot speak, his trauma made him choose to not to use the voice to communicate. The whole family and all the staff learn the sign language, indeed. At least, this made him feel accepted for the first time. Growing, both of them start to have feelings for each other. This book is dual POV, so we can state that both of them are a little fucked up.

Olivia knows that what she feels for her brother is wrong, she was not supposed to be attracted to Malachi, but I can kinda relate this too… he has black hair, muscled body and blue eyes. She was too gullible, though. How can you believe he’s being so inexperienced and clueless, and be that good at the same time? Oh c’mon, ask yourself a couple of questions, girl. She has a trauma too, but hers got not her as invested as her brother.

At the age of 19 all the shit begins: she always felt really close to Malachi, they sleep together when she has bad dreams, or when he needs to be comforted. But one night, the yearning hits up. Nothing happens, however, until he asks his sister to teach him how to kiss a girl: started the “lessons”, there were no coming back. This was so exiting, guys. The spice in this book is really strong, there is a lot, and is so good. I started and finished this first book in one sitting, it is only about 210 pages. Thankfully, it’s “The Web of Silence Duet”, so I have another book to die after Malachi.

This was so heart breaking, I actually felt bad.

OH. MIO. DIO. Il dark romance più dark che abbia mai letto finora. E non riesco a credere a quanto mi sia piaciuto. È un forbidden love tra fratello e sorella, per l'amor di Dio! Non sono consanguinei, ovviamente, ho dei limiti, ma comunque. Malachi Vize è uno psicopatico, dolce, un mostro, ossessionato, innamorato e completamente fuori di testa. Lo amo. Anche se alcune delle cose che fa sono davvero, davvero inquietanti e per niente okay.

Ricapitolando: Olivia e Malachi sono fratello e sorella, entrambi adottati dalla famiglia Vize. Dal primo momento in cui si sono incontrati, Malachi, un anno più grande di Olivia, sente che sua sorella è sua. Non in senso romantico o sessuale... non allora, comunque. È più come se avesse un dovere nei suoi confronti, quello di proteggerla ad ogni costo. Anche dalla loro stessa famiglia.

Malachi non parla, il suo trauma lo ha portato a scegliere di non usare la voce per comunicare. Tutta la famiglia e tutto lo staff, infatti, imparano il linguaggio dei segni. Almeno, questo lo ha fatto sentire accettato per la prima volta. Crescendo, entrambi iniziano a provare sentimenti l'uno per l'altro. Questo libro è un doppio POV, quindi possiamo affermare che entrambi sono fuori di testa.

Olivia sa che ciò che prova per suo fratello è sbagliato, non dovrebbe essere attratta da Malachi, ma in questo posso capirla... Malachi ha i capelli neri, un corpo muscoloso e gli occhi azzurri, cioè…parliamone. Lei è troppo credulona, ​​però. Come può credere che sia così inesperto e sprovveduto, ed essere così bravo allo stesso tempo? Oh ma andiamo, fatti un paio di domande, Olivia. Anche lei ha un trauma, comunque, ma non ne è stata sconvolta quanto suo fratello.

Per fortuna è "The Web of Silence Duet", quindi ho un altro libro per sbavare dietro Malachi.
